With so much talk about the election and November 4th, a few things cross my mind. This is not about who you will vote for in November. This is about the mentality that the next president will fix our personal finances.
At this point most of us are in times where we have to squeeze the mighty dollar bill a little tighter. I really want my candidate to win this election and I do believe he will bring change to this country and to the economy but no way am I leaving it up to him to change my financial situation. That’s up to me! It’s up to you!
We have to decide to start living on less than we make and to stop spending more money than we bring home each month. We have to quit buying cars we can’t afford and homes that turn the “American Dream” into a nightmare. We have to decide that we would rather pay ourselves in savings than paying Bank of America, Macy’s or Honda Finance. We have to decide to stop using money that is not ours (credit cards). Debt is Stupid so we have got to get serious about paying it off, building up our savings and being wise and smart with our money. So the next time our economy is on a decline we don’t get mad and start blaming everyone else. We have to point the fingers at ourselves. It’s time for us to enjoy the money we work hard for and live the life we desire to live.
Make a decision today to change so your financial future does not depend on the next president or what programs the government can create. We will never get ahead thinking that way. Our future depends on it. My household is on board. What about yours, will you join us?
Let me know!
